Below are a few reminders for golfers.
-
You Can Pay Beforehand: Most teams paid online or via check when you registered. For those who have not paid, you can pay online ahead of time by making a donation in the amount of the foursome ($550). If you'd like to pay individually beforehand, please email me and I can send each golfer in your team an individual invoice and link to pay. Or, if you'd prefer, you can always pay at the registration table on Saturday morning with check, cash, or card.
-
Breakfast and Coffee Are Available: As with last year, the breakfast and biscuit stations will be outside and available to golfers beginning at 8:30. We'll also be serving lunch at the turn.
-
Visit the Registration Table: Even if you've paid, please send someone from your foursome to visit the registration table on Saturday AM to check-in your team. Mulligans, raffle tickets, and shirts will be available for purchase as well. You can pay for these items with golf, or separately.
-
Timing/Schedule: Registration opens at 8:30 AM. Range tokens will be available starting then. We are aiming for a 9:30 shotgun start, so try and arrive early to give yourself some time to grab some coffee, a biscuit, and get a few practice swings/putts in.
-
The Famous 19th Hole Celebration Returns: After a scaled-down tournament last year, we are excited to bring back the 19th Hole Celebration, immediately following golf. After your final hole, head to the area behind the golf shop (near the practice greens) for live music, refreshments, announcements, and fellowship. Stay as long as you'd like! Tribuzio's Grill (formerly McCormick's) will have their full food and beverage menu available.
-
Friday Gala: The Friday night Gala is not included in golf. Many teams added gala tickets and, if that includes you, you'll receive a separate email with information about the gala (shortly following this email). If you are unsure whether you bought gala tickets, please let me know as soon as possible so we can straighten it out. We need to provide a final number to the Westin on Monday so we can't wait much longer on that. The gala is at the Jekyll Westin ballroom, and begins at 6:00 PM.
I also want to send a note about our Beach and Nature Walk on Saturday during the tournament. The beach and nature walk is a great day-time activity for spouses and/or guests/friends who do not golf. A professional naturalist and environmentalist will lead a guided beach walk beginning at 11:00 AM on the Saturday of the tournament. If you're traveling to Jekyll with a spouse, friend, girlfriend, etc., please let them know about the beach walk - which is completely free. The group will meet behind the Westin near the beach entrance/walkway around 10:45 AM. You do not need to register for the beach walk. But if you anticipate joining, feel free to let me know via email or text (770-561-7528) so we know not to leave without you!
As always, the Foundation truly appreciates your support. This year, we are aiming to raise $50,000 for Wolfson Children's Hospital. With your help, we can make a direct and immediate impact on families and patients in the Brunswick/Jacksonville area.
If you have any questions about golf, the gala, or the weekend, please do not hesitate to reach out.
